The inmates’ medical care is provided by Southern Health Partners. Their services include a nurse onsite 30 hours per week and a doctor onsite one day a week. All individuals will be seen by the nurse within the first 14 days of incarceration. Thereafter, to receive services, a formal sick call request form is required from the inmate unless it is an emergency.
If you have concerns about a particular inmate’s medical needs, you may contact the nurse. Please be aware that due to HIPPA regulations, protected information cannot be disclosed, however, you may provide information to the medical staff you deem important to an inmate’s medical care.
Mental health is provided by Bluegrass Regional MH-MR Board, Inc. (Mental Health Crisis Network for jails) and onsite care is provided by Pathways as needed.
